London

We had an awesome spring break in London and Edinburgh. Tigergirl and Tigerboy are at the perfect age for traveling. Everything is exciting and an adventure. I think they enjoyed the London Eye, the train ride from London to Edinburgh, and the performance of "Grease" the most. Unfortunately, Grease was the show I chose as an introduction to musical theatre for Tigerpapa....I don't think he will be joining us for another show anytime soon. In my defence, we were meant to go to The Lion King but due to some mistake at the booking company, we couldn't get tickets to that show and had to scramble for something else on the day of the show.

London Eye:

Big Ben:

Another reason we had such a fabulous trip was that we got to spend time with our friends in London. I've known M for about 5 years and finally had the chance to meet her gorgeous son J. J has become like another cousin for Tigerboy and Tigergirl and we hope they have a chance to come and see us in Beirut (J is the third child in the pictures below):

A highlight for Tigerpapa and I was our VIP viewing of the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Due to the kindness of some very good friends of ours here in Beirut, we were escorted inside the gates to watch it:

We also spent plenty of time in London pubs:

Edinburgh post coming soon.

Atta boy Kai, only drink the good stuff ! Glad you all had such a great time. I'm saving up for Lebanon...hope you're there by that time ! Tell Tigerpapa not to base all musicals on "Grease." He would have enjoyed "Lion King" or "Wicked."

Yay, someone still reads my blog! I know I made a terrible mistake taking him to Grease. The thing is, TB and I had tickets to Stomp the next day so we couldn't go to that one either. I know TP would have loved Stomp. Wicked was sold out too. :-(

Wow! Wow! and WOW! And I had to go back to make sure Tiger Boy wasn't drinking a Guinness. Delightful post. And the changing of guard must have been so neat.

    Hi ya, Tigermama

I have been in touch with cherryblossomadventures, and saw your blog linked on her page. Is it? Yes, it is.

I heard from Yvonne, you were able to meet up in Edinburgh. Shota is a dear, isn't he.

It has been so long...but it is lovely to be able to catch up with you through your blog.

I don't have one myself but you can catch up with SLCP shenanigans here in Okinawa at www.slcpjapan.org. We are now about 30 kids! Wow!

Oh that reminds me. If and when you come back to Japan
www.joes.or.jp/foreign/index.html. They won't let me put up the info in English but you are entitled. Ask DH to decipher.

    Lots of love

    Lottie

Can't believe I missed this post. We had such an awesome time with you guys and Joey keeps asking when you are coming back. Found Kiana's car the other day as well when I moved the sofa to clean under it so we need to sort out getting that back to her! :-) We will have to start talking timing for our potential trip to Lebanon but I need to get settled in the new job first! (((HUGS)) from me, we miss you guys.
