Playdate

Tigergirl had a half-day of school today so she went over to a friend's house for a playdate. At one point they went to the "Kids Salon". TG said it was the BEST time of her whole life! And then she told me they have a summer camp. I can only imagine what that would entail. Summer camp at the salon. I don't think there will be rockclimbing or kayaking.

Here's what she looks like post-salon:

You'll have to imagine the purple sparkly nails. :)

I can just about get my head around the idea of a kid's salon, but summer camp at the kid's salon?? That one really has me stumped.... what on earth would they do after the first makeover???

And Tigergirl looks gorgeous- definitely working that pose!

I have no idea H. I know that they do birthday parties and, after they are doled up, the girls parade in front of the boys (who go to a science lab during the makeover) and they all end up at a nightclub-like disco. Needless to say, Tigergirl won't be going to any birthday parties there.

I would have like going to the science-lab part... amazing how these gender-typing events continue. We need more parents like you in this world!

On the plus side I bet their craft t-shirts would be a lot more stylish than the ones I made in summer camp!

OMG, the parading in front of the boys who have been whisked off to science lab slayed me.

    She looked beautiful though!

Yes, the gender stereotyping is alive and well in Lebs!

Medea, same with me. I think we did tie-dye!

    Kappa and Maggie, thanks!
