Beirut

We made it! We arrived in Beirut a couple of hours ago and so far these are the words to describe a very vibrant, exciting city:

Hot and humid, crowded, honking, staring, traffic, colour, beautiful women (I`m going to have to watch dh...haha!), happy smiling people, gesturing, laughing, HONKING, bullet-ridden buildings (soooo many, I was surprised!), friendly, pollution, French, congestion, Did I mention the HONKING???

That`s it for now. Remember, we JUST arrived so the above really is just a first impression. I can`t wait to discover what our life will be like here.

P.S. Our serviced apartment is HUGE....we have 3 bathrooms.

Thank you everyone! I have had sporadic internet access since we got here so I`m sorry I haven`t replied until now.

Jan, the very best part about this apartment is that it is serviced...meaning, I don`t have to clean ANYTHING! Woohoo!

How exciting. I am so sad that I wasn't able to catch you one more time before you left....

Beirut sounds lovely, minus the bullet holes. What an opportunity, though. What do the kids think?

    PS. Jealous about the bathrooms...

Serviced apartment??? Wow. Do you ever want to come back to Japan?

Sounds like a great adventure ahead. I am sorry I could not contact you before you left. The last 2 months have been crazy busy and lots of travelling thrown in.

All the best to you and your fam in the next chapter of your lives!

    serviced, i get it.

my kids pee in the bath tub room if the (single) toilet is occupied.

then we just shower it down.

that is "serviced" in this house.

3 bathrooms and someone to clean them sounds like you have hit the jackpot!!!!!!!!!!!

Three bathrooms? At present, I have three teenagers. Another bathroom would come in VERY handy!
