Okinawa Aquarium and Tropical Dream Center

There is a lot to see on Okinawa and we have seen most of it over the past week. We went up North to the Churaumi Aquarium, Oceanic Culture Museum, and The Tropical Dream Center. These three attractions are within walking distance of each other and really amazing places. The Aquarium is one of the best in the world and really fun for the kids. It`s the only Aquarium with Manta rays as the tanks are so huge:

The Tropical Dream Center is a series greenhouses with over 1000 Orchids in bloom (as well as many other plants, fruit trees, and flowers). It was really nice to go there after the "spring holiday" crowds at the aquarium:

Sorry for a rushed post. I just wanted to get a little something up to show what we`ve been doing. I`ll write more later!

Thanks guys. I`m really enjoying spending time with my parents. I definately recomend this aquarium to anyone who wants to visit Okinawa. We may even buy a years pass now that we know how great it is. :)

The weather has been good for the past 3 days and then today it started to rain again.

Jan, there`s a whole seperate room with sharks and a shark exhibit. It was amazing!

Trisha, do you have a good zoo nearby? We have a zoo here but it`s a bit sad as the cages are small and the animals look unwell. There is an awesome kids museum attached to it however so we do go. We just speed through the animal section and head right to the museum. :)
